Description

The Noah 8-String Baritone is a beautifully handcrafted instrument created for players who want expanded tonal depth, richness, and character. Built from premium Mahogany and Spruce, it delivers a bold, resonant voice with impressive clarity and projection — ideal for musicians who want a baritone ukulele with a truly powerful presence.

Mahogany provides warmth and balance, while the Spruce top adds brightness and articulation. This combination makes the 8-String Baritone exceptionally versatile, equally suited to solo performance, ensemble playing, or adding lush harmonic layers to recordings.

With its large body — the biggest of the standard ukulele sizes — the baritone already offers natural depth and fullness. Adding paired strings takes that even further. The D and G courses are strung in octaves, while the B and E courses use unison pairs, producing a big, rich, and beautifully jangly tone with real punch. It’s an instrument that will cut through in any ukulele group and turn heads with its powerful sound.

The model is completed with an elegant slotted headstock and a factory-fitted strap button for added convenience.

Had the 8 string baritone for a couple of weeks now. I must admit I love playing it. It feels so easy to play and your hand glides along the neck. It is wide enough to finger pick with comfort but I love the double string sound when strummed. Not a big fan of aquilla strings but these seem to compliment the build perfectly. Lovely tone, intonation and sustain. Great fun and would recommend to any one looking for something slightly different.
Very nice looker by the way and the gig bag was an extra bonus.
    Great stuff

Arrived yesterday, well packed and on time. A superb instrument. Solid, well finished, a bit of ‘patterning’ in the top wood (grey streaks) but it’s probably natural and it doesn’t bother me. The sound is everything I’d hoped for, full and slightly ‘eastern’ sounding… like most 8 string instruments (and even 12 string guitars). The playing action is just right for me, it doesn’t need ‘setting up’. I’ve got a room full of guitars and ukes, but I’ve got a feeling this is going to be my No. 1 instrument from now on. Well worth £300.

Having been playing guitars for neck end of 60 years,my favourite being my 12 string acoustic. I dipped my toe into the ukulele market a couple of years ago and love it. This got me to start looking into an 8 string version, after reviewing many options I came across Noah’s Ukulele site, loved the background story of Noah and subsequently bought the Baritone 8 string with gloss finish which arrived on Friday.
It looks amazing, fantastic finish, superb attention to detail, a great action and a beautiful sound.
All for under £300 AND you get a gig bag as part of the deal!
I have got an absolute gem for the money, the quality of the wood is classy.
I am going to get many hours of playing pleasure from this instrument.
One thing I would suggest is to have the option to choose one or two strap buttons fitted when ordering (purely a personal choice for me).
Matt is a Top Guy with a great product range.
If you’re in the market for a Uke, check out his website.
    You won’t regret it.

What a beautiful uke and what a sweet, sweet sound. I’m left handed but was able to restring it and flip the bridge with ease.

I’ve had an 8 string Noah Bari for a while now. And while the value for money is pretty good and the sound also good and I now play little else I have a couple of small comments. First, I have changed the strings to a new set of Aquilas which sound better and also feel better. The fitted ones just felt very rubbery. Second the apps between the strings seem a little wide and a little irregular. I’ve got used to it now.

I have just got into baritone ukes and have come to really enjoy their me!lower tone. I already have an 8 string tenor and so the obvious next step was an 8 string baritone. Guess who I chose to buy it from . . . Noah!
I have several of theirs already and this is an excellent addition to my collection. I love the dark sunburst around the edge, the wide nut is almost like playing a guitar and the sound (once it’s in tune) is lovely and full.
    Thanks Matt for this ukulele.

The instrument was delivered just over a week ago my first impression was what a beautiful instrument and how solid it felt.
I have several guitars and ukuleles and the Noah feels the best made.
I had to get used to playing the instrument not having had more than four or six strings to play but I soon found it quite easy.
I have not tried any other 8 string baritone ukulele’s so I cannot compare it to others but what I will say I could not find a similar solid wood instrument anywhere near the Noah price and most of the solid wood tops and laminate back and sides cost more.
The one thing that has stood out is I have only had to retune it once since receiving it which has never happened on my previous instruments.
To summarise if you are looking for an affordable 8 string baritone ukulele you will not be disappointed with the Noah.

Played 4 string Baritone for several years now as I prefer the sound over tenor or concert ukes. Decided to buy the Noah 8 string Baritone about ten days ago to add some spice to my strumming. Been playing it most days and really enjoy the tone and sustain. Doesn’t need much re tuning even in the recent hot weather and the set up is just right for me. Quality build and price good value. Thoroughly recommend.
