The Noah range includes a 5-string tenor and 8-string ukuleles in concert, tenor and baritone sizes. All are handcrafted from solid wood, with different options depending on the sound and playing feel you’re looking for.
Why choose a 5-string or 8-string ukulele?
If you’re looking for something a little different from a standard four-string ukulele, a 5-string or 8-string model opens up some interesting possibilities. The extra strings add depth, richness and a layered quality to the sound, while keeping the familiar character of the ukulele.
Noah 5-string and 8-string ukulele models
The Noah 5-String Tenor is made entirely from mahogany and retains the familiar feel of a standard tenor ukulele. It pairs a high G with a low G, combining the bright, chiming quality of a high-G tenor with the extra depth of a low-G instrument.
The result is a fuller, more layered sound that works particularly well for strumming, fingerpicking and playing in a ukulele group. You can still use familiar G–C–E–A tuning and your usual chord shapes, making it an interesting option without having to learn a completely different way of playing.

Noah 8-String Ukuleles
The Noah 8-string range has four pairs of strings. The paired strings are tuned in octaves on the G and C courses, while the E and A courses are doubled in unison. This creates the rich, shimmering, almost chorused sound that makes an 8-string ukulele so distinctive.
Our 8-string models feature mahogany back and sides with a spruce top. You can choose from concert, tenor and baritone sizes, each bringing its own character to the fuller 8-string sound. A concert offers a bright, lively sound in a compact body; a tenor brings more warmth and projection; while a baritone adds a deeper voice.
