Description
We originally made just one 5 string tenor ukulele after receiving a custom order, but were really pleased with how it sounded and decided to add it to the standard Noah range.
This ukulele is hand built using all solid Mahogany. It has a slotted headstock, bone nut and saddle and a pin bridge. It also has a strap button fitted at the base.
In terms of strings and tuning, a 5 string is tuned GCEA like a standard ukulele. The extra string is a Low G and really gives a lot of extra depth and chime to the sound when strumming, but still allows you to play more intricate melodies on the C, E, and A strings.

Purchased my 2nd Noah an all solid mahogany electro cutaway 5 string tenor and wow, what a ukulele this is, so much so selling my old ukes. beautifully handmade by a skilled craftsman and each one will be unique simply because they are hand made from solid woods, I can highly recommend, check out what the experts say (gotaukulele) they say the same. The owner Matt is a nice guy and will help in anyway he can, Buy a Noah, you’ll not be disappointed, I now have 2 Noah’s they are my go to ukes for home and in my uke group.

This was a personal order last Spring. Delivery time was roughly six months. Arrived just after Christmas. Was it worth it? Well of course it was. I really like 5 string ukes. This is my third and has to be the best both in playability, tone and volume. It came with a wound low G which I later changed to a Worth Brown low G which isn’t as pronounced but still rings through and adds depth to the sound. The nut is wide and comfortable as all Noah tenors are (this is my fourth) and the cutaway I asked for allows easy access to the higher frets where the intonation is perfect (to my ears anyway!) Thanks Matt for yet another ukulele that I really enjoy playing.

I love this ukulele
I was in the market for another ukulele but wanted something a little different. I had learned of a 5 string made popular by the artist Taimani. In my search for more information I came across Got a Ukulele Review by Barry Maz and there heard multiple reviews he had done on Noah Ukuleles. All of them positive. Imagine my delight to find that Noah had made a 5 string. A few email exchanges later and I had placed my custom order for a 5 string tenor. Six months later it found its way from Vietnam to the UK and to its new home in the US. I love it. It has the most beautiful sound and is stunning to look at. I’ve been playing the ukulele for over 20 years and have both low and high end instruments. Each one is unique and special in its own right but my Noah 5 string has already become my favorite. I play in a band once a week and this will be my go-to instrument from now on. Many thanks to Matt and to the amazing luthiers who crafted this beauty.
