Noah Delta Concert

I said earlier that each Noah uke I see gets better and better and it’s clear that Mr Anh is constantly upping his game. This is the right up there with the best I’ve seen from Noah and I love the developments that have been employed. Great looks, great build, great sound, great price. This is a much liked brand now and for good reason – they listen and improve all the time. This one is a delight.

Highly recommended!

Description

The Noah Delta Concert Ukulele combines premium all-solid tonewoods, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a design inspired by the culture and landscapes of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. The reason behind the name ‘Delta’ is that I really wanted a model which gave a nod to Vietnam and the area in which they are made. The Mekong Delta is such an important part of Vietnamese life and culture, and is not far from where I lived and not far from where our head luthier, Mr Anh, lives. The boat trip I took on the Mekong Delta in my first weeks after arriving in Vietnam is still one of the best things I’ve ever done, and so with all of that considered, Delta, felt like a good choice!  This model offers musicians a resonant, expressive instrument with a clean, understated aesthetic.

Features and Design

  • Crafted from solid Indian Rosewood back and sides with a Spruce top, delivering a rich, balanced, and resonant tone.

  • Named “Delta” as a tribute to the Mekong Delta region, reflecting the maker’s personal connection to Vietnam and the heritage of the workshop.

  • Maple bindings for crisp visual definition and natural elegance.

  • Indian Rosewood inlaid soundhole rosette for subtle, refined detailing.

  • Blank fretboard for a minimalist look, with side dot markers for clear position reference.

  • Bound side sound port that projects part of the sound toward the player for an enhanced playing experience.

  • Vintage-style friction tuners providing traditional aesthetics with reliable tuning control.

  • 37mm nut width for comfortable finger spacing, ideal for accurate fingering and intricate playing.

  • Bone nut and saddle offering excellent intonation, sustain, and tonal clarity.

Sound and Playability

The Rosewood–Spruce pairing delivers a warm, expressive low end, clear mids, and articulate highs. The concert body size provides strong projection and balance, while the wider nut and smooth neck profile make the instrument exceptionally comfortable and responsive. Suitable for fingerpicking, melodic passages, and dynamic strumming alike.

I had a great response from Matt, and as I have a few Tenors, I chose this Delta Concert.
It arrived in good time, excellent condition, and straight out of the box it played sweetly and crisply. I really like these side sound ports. You can hear yourself clearly and helps when you’re practising. The nut width is also comfortable. This is going to be by my side all the time and picked up and played constantly.

So happy with my Delta Concert Ukulele so well made with care and beautiful woods. It is so comfortable to play with the extra nut width and rounded shape giving a lovely sweet, crisp tone. The set up was spot on so I could play straight away. This is definitely my go to Ukulele.

A beautiful ukulele with a unique voice that really sings. Earlier this year I gave my delta concert a home second hand from someone who had only had it for 3 months since build, and have been meaning to praise Noah with a review ever since as it’s well deserved. I would happily buy new another time, as the build quality and comfortable wide neck is a joy to play and I’m sure other Noah models are good too. Pictures do not do the colour of the wood justice, it’s gorgeous in person and I’ve been complimented on the side sound hole which helps me hear myself play better in groups. I believe my model has Worth Brown strings on now, but would imagine it sounds great with the options above as well. Everything Barry Maz reviewed is true. Love this uke a lot!
