The festival season is now upon us! After great weekends at GNUF and Winchester – who did an amazing job for their first ever festival – I spent Saturday at the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain in Cheltenham. With this being my fourth year exhibiting there, it was great to see so many friendly faces, and catch up with friends from the ukulele community. It was particularly nice to have so many customers from previous years come up to the stall and tell me how happy they still are with their Noah ukulele.
A nice feature of the GB Ukulele Festival is that throughout the day you are treated to short sets from musicians who are warming up before their evening main stage performance. The Jive Aces were a real highlight. They definitely got the seal of approval from my son Noah for their cover of the Jungle Book song ‘I wanna be like you’!
Next up is the Ukulele Festival of Wales. I’m really excited about attending this – though not so about making the 500 mile round trip from Brighton. It’s their first ever festival which always makes it quite special and I’ve been looking for an excuse to head to The Gower peninsula for a long time 🙂 As always, I’ll have my full range of handmade ukuleles on the stall for people to try out – including the new Noah Baritone and Noah Campanella models which are both selling out fast. See you there!
