Earlier this year in April, the Noah Classic Sunburst was launched – a new addition to the tenor ukuleles available in the Noah range. Features of this new model include:
- handmade, all-solid wood construction, with Mahogany on the back and sides and a spruce top
- a beautiful sunburst finish
- a wider nut (width at nut is 38mm)
- a slotted headstock
- a curvier, wider base giving a body shape more similar to a Grand Auditorium
It was reviewed on the highly-respected Got a Ukulele website by Barry Maz and achieved an excellent overall score of 9/10, which is the highest of any Noah models ever reviewed. Barry was a big fan of this new model, and wrote the following in his summary:
“…this is without a doubt the best Noah ukulele I have come across. The looks stole my heart from the off, but thankfully the playability and tone are also excellent. And all this from a home grown brand rather than a faceless factory production line. Very highly recommended!
We only made a small number of these and they are fast disappearing, but we will definitely be making more in the near future.
If you are keen on owning one, the very instrument that Barry reviewed (serial number 001) is now available in the latest Noah Silent auction. Offers starting at £225 and this auction is only available to UK and EU bidders. UK postage costs £10; EU postage costs £25.
For any questions or if you would like to make an offer, please email [email protected] or you can contact me on Facebook and the winning bidder will be notified when the auction ends on Sunday June 30th at 10pm. Good luck!
